Westwood Leather Co. was born from a love of thoughtful design, quality craftsmanship, and a quiet rebellion against fast fashion.

Led by founder and lead leatherworker Olivia D’Alessandro, Westwood Leather Co. blends minimalist design principles with time-honoured techniques. Drawing from her background in fashion design and the knowledge gathered throughout her time working in Toronto and Amsterdam, Olivia infuses each piece with a balance of artistry and utility. 

 

Every piece is cut, sewn, and finished by hand in our Vancouver Island studio, where nature’s textures and tones continuously inspire our work.

We use only responsibly sourced leather from renowned tanneries in the USA and Europe, ensuring each material carries its own story—one that deepens with time. Designed to be both beautiful and functional, our pieces are crafted with intent and built to last a lifetime.
